"Cougar" -- When Girls Collide With Time
Sport dating might be okay if you're twenty-something, never been married and don't want to be.
It's downright sad to see a middle-aged single woman -- "cougar" -- who pretends to be looking for the man of her dreams -- still trying to get the attention of a boy-toy five or ten years her junior.
You know, a 40 or 50-something woman who's trying to outrun the clock.
The "pass-around chick" every player in town knows about -- who is always the "notch" and never gets to build a nest.
Why is it sad?
A serious man, ready for commitment, will dismiss the "cougar" as a girl trapped in a woman's body. -- a girl afraid to accept herself, at a point in life, where her beauty, grace and experience makes her immensely attractive -- to a real man.
A cougar is not exciting or sexy.
Most girls in the cougar-category work at making themselves look hard. The make-up, the haircut, the clothes all say one thing -- come ride me -- quick!
Why does a cougar hide her feminine side?
She's scared.
She still thinks going out and partying with the girls is how she's going to find that hard-bodied bad-boy who's going to rock her world.
If the bad-boy takes the bait, she always ends up the victim.
The unwitting topic of the cruel belly-laughs he and his boys have - -as he tells them about the desperate woman with the "use me" bulls-eye painted on her forehead.
Underneath the cougar costume is a girl who knows the clock is ticking.
She's already wasted many years of her life on relationships -- "just for the sex" -- that always end up breaking her heart.
Now she wears a cougar-suit -- instead of letting the world -- and the possible man of her dreams see her heart.
A woman knows that a real man wants to loose himself in her heart
Which is exactly what the woman wants to do with a man.
A woman who holds out the promise of being a friend, confidant and lover -- is much sexier and appealing to a real man.
The scared little girl who acts like she's still in high school -- trying to trigger a reaction with make-up, hairdo and clothes -- may get the attention of a boy.
Not a man who will commit to spending the rest of his life with her.
