"Always I'm Dreaming" -- The Hidden Story
Gwen and Bob were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in the fall of 1999.
It was at a nightclub. Bob was sitting in with the band -- he plays the sax -- and Gwen had just completed an on-location radio broadcast from the club -- she was a local on-air personality.
A few days later Gwen stopped by Bob's recording studio.
She wanted to let him know that she was available for voice-over's and commercials.
He wanted to impress her with songs from his new album.
She sat patiently as he looked around his control room -- for the recordings of the songs he thought would really impress her -- but they were no where to be found.
The only song he could easily find was "Always I'm Dreaming" -- which he had recently finished.
It was a love song to the woman of his dreams.
Making excuses for not finding the other songs (that he really wanted to play) he realized it was going to be "Always I'm Dreaming". He was a little uncomfortable because it was so revealing -- but he had no choice -- some unseen "hand" had made this the only song he could play her.
Gwen was shaken by the time the song finished.
Her close friend Naomi, told her a few days before that the man of her dreams was "out there looking for you"... Bob's song was about his searching for the woman of his dreams.
Gwen and Bob were married a year later.
They both recognize "Always I'm Dreaming" connected them to each other on a deep level -- before they were even aware of it.
This true story is why they chose "Always I'm Dreaming" as the theme song for their radio show as well as "The Romance Trap" web site.
